ECTFE
The chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer offers an excellent chemical resistance and a mechanical performance that are much better than those of PTFE.
ADVANTAGES
It maintains the superior mechanical resistance typical of fluorinated materials.
It has a higher mechanical resistance than PTFE, with regard to traction and compression.
Excellent resistance to low and high temperatures (up to 160° C) and U.V. rays. Excellent dimensional stability.
Low inflammability.
Good resistance to wear and excellent resistance to alkaline substances.
DISADVANTAGES
Its temperature resistance is lower than PTFE (160° C)
Rather high linear thermal dilation coefficient. Only partially compatible with ketones, esters, ethers and organic bases.
APPLICATIONS
Chemical: very high chemical resistance to acids and alkali typical of fluorinated polymers.
It is used for the petrochemical and chemical industry components.
Food industry: physiologically inert when natural in color, approved by several authorities for use in contact with food. Because of this particular characteristic, it is widely used in the construction of machines for the food industry, for pumps for food liquids, etc.
Electrics: because of its excellent dielectric characteristics, its self-extinguishing properties which do not require the addition of halogens, its stability to harsh weather conditions it is being used more and more by this industrial segment.
Mechanical: its low friction coefficient makes it ideal for bearings even when they work in water.
Use temperature: from -40°C a 160°C

The pump’s actual efficiency is the ratio between the pump’s useful power and the power absorbed by the pump’s axis.

EPDM (es. DUTRAL®)
Excellent resistance to ozone and oxygen. The products manufactured with EPDM rubbers are insensible to static and dynamic conditions and to the action of oxidizing agents. It is not necessary to add and any antiozonant or antioxidant agent to obtain this behavior.
Excellent resistance to degradation due to atmospheric aging,
Excellent resistance to high temperatures (up to 150°C) both in a dry and in a wet environment (protected compound).
Excellent resistance to high temperatures: it maintains its flexibility up to -55°C.
Excellent dielectric properties.
Excellent resistance to permanent deformation.
Excellent mechanical and elastic characteristics which are maintained throughout time.
Good resistance to numerous chemical products (organic and inorganic acids, ammines, phosphoric esters, hydraulic liquids, antifreeze liquids, brine, whiteners, biodegradable and non-biodegradable detergents, oils and vegetable greases) and polar solvents with a low molecular weight (alkali, ethers, ketones, glycols). It has a poor resistance to hydrocarbon solvents and mineral oils.
Poor resistance to flame spread if not duly formulated.
High water impermeability.
APPLICATIONS: Sections and technical items for automobiles, gaskets, fire prevention products.
Use temperature: from -40°C to 140°C
