O-ring
Elastomer rings with a circular section used as a mechanical washer or seal. They are designed to be fit in appropriate seats and to be compressed during the assembly of two or more parts, in order to create a seal.
The joint can be static or allow for small movements between the o-ring parts. The moving joints require adequate lubrication to reduce friction.
